EASY WAYS TO CONTROLLING YOUR MIND


The mind is the most useful and efficient part of the body system which controls the entire livelihood. It functions as a processor of the body's actions and if you can control it positively then your chance of being successful is guaranteed, but now the question is can you control your mind?


This reminds me of a story of two young friends playing at the lake, just at a point one of them decided to jump from one plane to another only to think and realize how slippery the surface of the ground is and he suddenly paused from taking another jump, while standing at that spot, he asked his friend can you control your mind?


-His friend while ruminating on what to say, answered by illustrating a scenario between a horse and a rider, that if a horse is controlled by its rider then, the horse can be taken anywhere the rider wants all because the horse is in control of the rider, but if the horse is not in control of the rider then it can take him anywhere against his wish and that can become difficult for the rider to get out of such a situation and his life would be in danger. Therefore, the horse should be in control of the rider instead of the rider being in control of the horse. In this illustration, the horse can control itself in line with the actions of the rider.

In this life, we will find that most of us are slaves to our minds only a few people have control over their minds and it is said that one who has control over his mind has conquered the whole world. Controlling the mind can be very tasking but it's possible with a long practice and also by using these powerful methods to achieve it, number 3 is the most powerful of it all

MEDITATION: This is the act of focusing your attention on the activities going on in your body like your breath or by ruminating on the thoughts going on in your mind. Meditation is a very good way to control your mind. This should be done daily at a fixed time and in a fixed place. You can start by practicing it for 5 minutes and gradually get it increased to 30 minutes, slowly and thoughtfully the desires of your mind start to subside and gradually you start having control over your mind



BREATHING EXERCISE: It is mostly said that our breath is the reins of our mind if you have control over your breath then you will also have control over your mind. To do this, many types of breathing exercises are practiced and the more you have control over your breath the more you will have control over your mind just like the swimmers who seize the breath while under the water are a good example. If you can do some breathing exercises for some time before meditation then its effect will increase even more and it will become easy for you to go into deep meditation.

CONTEMPLATING: For example, suppose a negative desire to take some bad action engrossed your mind, at that time, instead of suppressing the desire of your mind just forcefully try to think about the bad effects of taking such an action by visualizing those effects in your mind, when you will visualize those ill effects in your mind then your mind will leave the desire and start coming in your control by this way you can control your mind through contemplating. Similarly, this can help to control your mind in making several life decisions.


So, these three methods can be practiced at your convenience but remember this, it is not only necessary to control your mind but it is also essential because if you can control your mind it will lead you to progress in life and if your mind controls you then it can also become the cause of your destruction.
